I know who i am

I just bougth the new Jeremy Camp Album and it is so good. I highly recommend you get. There are many songs on there i love but right now God is really just teaching me lately who i am and whos i am and this song called "Who I Am" on the album just takes the words right out of my mouth of who i relize i am in Christ!! I just bought the new Hillsong Album "This is our God" and there is a song on there called "Desert Song" that just word for word just spoke to my heart and speaks to were i am at in some ways. This song is my prayer for my life in good times and bad!! It just proclaims the promises of God and just declaring That God is God no matter where were are at. BIG STUF 08'

So i just got back from Big Stuf Camp this Sat. http://bigstuf.com/panama/
What an amazing week! Talk about a move of God. I knew God wanted to do something in my heart and the heart of everyone there when before i left to head up to the church i had my time w/ God and was praying to the point of tears that God would annoint that week! and when i got off the bus all of a sudden i was angry for no reason...just dumb stuff was making me mad and i knew it was the enemy trying to get to me. So at dinner that night Leslie Cromer (my other mom and best friend) and i prayed together b/c she said she got really frustrated to when she got off the bus....and it as amazing to see how God just removed those feelings and the first night of camp felt more like the last night of camp!! If you have ever been to church camp you know what i meant. The Holy Spirit was obviously at work!!!! You could tell...there was an energy from day one i can't explain..thats when you know its God when you can't find the words to explain what happened! It was just a powerful week i know for me! When i have the chance i'll get some pics up and videos!!! but in the mean time check out the website...

So the other day i was having some worship time..i love singing and singing to my Jesus is even better.But i was at home and i decied to put on some Bethany Dillon. I was having one of those girl days where your just emotional,tired of being single, and you know...if your a girl. but there were two songs that God used to just speak to my heart!! one is "Beautiful" and the other " I believe in you." So for the longest time i didn't know what i wanted this blog to be! I didn't want to get on here everyday and just talk about myself, and my day. b/c frankly that would boring. But talking about what God is doing in my life, now that is another story! One way that God speaks to me ALOT is through music so i thought anytime i come across a song that i love i will put it on here!! God knew what i needed to hear!

I was watching 722 and the message was on waiting, something i defiantly needed to hear about, and that quote is what jumped out to me. That when God is waiting or asking me to wait, its not without a promise of He will be faithful and He will not ask me to wait without there being purpose in the waiting. Sometimes God does His most transforming work in our lives during the waiting process. I know that is true of my life. The times when God has worked in my life the most is during the waiting. My favorite saying by Louie Giglio is "Trust is not a passive thing, its an active thing." waiting on God is an active thing. As i wait and trust in God i need to be doing what He has asked me to do today. "Dwell in the land and cultivate faithfulness" Proverbs 37:3. While waiting on God i need to be faithful now and trust in His Faithfulness and in who He is!! i still need to continue to see Him with "all my heart,soul,mind,and all my strength." never let the waiting be something that draws you away from God let it be something that draws you to God!

"May the Lord direct your hearts into God's love and Christ perseverance." 2 Thess 3:5.

HOSANNA!!!

So God has been ROCKIN my world with this song "Hosanna" by Hillsong for the last few months. The meaning of Hosanna is what makes it to me such a POWERFUL song. the world Hosanna in the Hebew is translated to mean "please save or save now" or ive also seen it to mean "oh save." recognizing Jesus as the Messiah. When Jesus was on His way to Jerusalem in Matt 21:9 "The crowds that went ahead of him and those that followed shouted, "Hosanna to the Son of David!" "Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord!" "Hosanna in the highest!" That is why this song is SO powerful to me. This past year I’ve been involved in a study group that includes three other people all involved in music and ministry. We call ourselves “Soul Check Society” because our main purpose is to help each other go deeper in community with God and each other. Each month we read a book and write an essay on it or have a question that we respond to via e-mail, since we live in three different cities. We take turns deciding which book and question we will answer. It’s been a very enriching experience. One of our questions was this: “Do you have any unrealized dreams? If you could picture your life in its most fulfilled state, one in which you are absolutely alive to all the possibilities God has placed in your heart, what would that look like?”A friend of ours led devotions before one of our concerts. He said that as people grow up most of them forget to dream, or simply don’t take time for it. I think that many of us, myself included, have been scared to dream because dreaming potentially invites disappointment if those desires go unfulfilled. On the other hand, not being willing to dream keeps us out of touch with certain parts of our hearts, and therefore we live—but are not fully alive. I don’t want to live that way anymore. I want my heart to be fully alive and kicking—even if it does hurt at times.

Here are some of my unrealized dreams:
• To be married, have a family and be a strong support to my husband in his calling.
• Serve in a church that is alive in Christ and leading others to Christ
• Be a Pre-K teacher and be able to show children the love of Christ through teaching and just loving them for who they are.
• To come to a place of balance in life.
• To have such an intimate walk with God. Being completely satisfied in Him and Him alone. Seeking his face, and going to His throne before i go to anyone else!! I want to be a woman known for being stunning, that people see Christ in me,my life,my love,my actions,and when im gone i wanna be known as a women who radianted Christ!!!

God doesn’t want us to settle for mediocrity in our lives. He doesn’t want us to just grow old and let go of our dreams. What unrealized dreams do you have? If you could picture your life in its most fulfilled state, one in which you are absolutely alive to all the possibilities God has placed in your heart, what would that look like? I encourage you, my friends, to spend some time this week talking to God about that, then compose a list of dreams God has placed in your heart. We serve a God who loves fulfilling big dreams!
